The Mystery Jets have confirmed their new album ‘LP4‘ will be released in April 2012.
'LP4' will be the fourth studio album and is the follow-up to their last LP, 2010's 'Serotonin'.
The band will celebrate the new album with their largest headline UK gig to date. The show will take place at London’s Brixton Academy on May 18th, tickets go onsale from this Friday (November 25th).
Band member Blaine Harrison has said:
“Winter has bestowed itself upon us and once again the weatherman warns us that we will soon be brushing snow flakes from our faces. We have returned from texas with dirty boots, a family member heavier (a beautiful young lady by the name of odessa) and a quiver of new songs. Admittedly less than we went out with (such are the worlds’ ways) but damn me if they aren’t some of our favorite yet.”
“Which brings me to how exited I am to announce a concert where you will be able to come and hear each one as well as those preceding them that led us here. Join us on Friday 18th May, 2012 as we roll up our sleeves, pull the cactus needles from our butts and play the biggest hometown jets show yet at Brixton academy. Its been a long old while london, and I for one cannot wait. xxBlaine.”

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band will perform on July 14 in Hyde Park. It is their first show announcement since the death of legendary saxophonist Clarence Clemons earlier this year.
Springsteen last played Hard Rock Calling in 2009, when he opened his three-hour set with a cover of London Calling by The Clash. He performed at Glastonbury that same year.
A spokesman said: “This is the second time they have played the Hyde Park show and 2012 minus Clarence is sure to be emotional.”
Clemons died in June, aged 69, after suffering a stroke. He and Springsteen worked together for nearly 40 years.

Music fan kills himself after concert Them Crooked Vultures
Saturday, November 19, 2011 | 0 comments »According to DailyMail.co.uk, a British rock music fan stabbed himself to death after seeing the rock supergroup Them Crooked Vultures perform left him with severe tinnitus. (Tinnitus is characterized by a constant ringing in the ears).
Robert McIndoe, 52, was unable to sleep for three months after seeing the band in July 2010 at the Brixton Academy in London. His psychiatrist, Dr. Helen Stinson, said, "He accepted death as a side-effect of stopping the noise."
McIndoe's wife Shirley said, "When it first happened, he wasn't too bothered about it because he thought it would subside, and the friend he had been with also had ringing in his ears that day. But it was a constant irritation. He didn't get a night of sleep after that."
